Lines in Galaxian

Got a Galaxian with a wg4500 monitor (is that original?)

Has line sometimes on the creatures.
If I kinda wiggle the coin door goes away.

Is this a board issue? Should I gently remove Chips and deoxit? Again not consistent , comes and goes.

Yes, that is the original monitor. And yes, start by cleaning the socketed chips.

Cleaning 1H (or 1J) may fix it, but they used garbage sockets to begin with.
Probing the inputs of 2H/J/K/L might show which ROM output is bad, but it could be a bad input on one of the 194's instead.

Fucking around with the socketed chips that are unrelated to your issue is not advisable.

Pretty sure it's pin 13 on 1H though.

If they are the original OTP ROMs, you're likely to find some with the legs rotting off, and they may not survive a cleaning. So be prepared to buy/burn some new EPROMs to replace them. Like Mark said, start with the graphics ROMs at 1H/K.

Cleaned 1h/k and fixed it. Plays solid with no line glitch now.
