Line Doublers or Video Processors? Anybody use them?

Hey everybody,

I'm wondering if anybody had used any Line Doublers on modern HDTV's and see if they work with a variety of games - through a supergun of course.

I was looking at PC capture cards, etc.. and I stumbled upon the Silicon Image (DVDO) iScan HD and Pro models and I believe that they may work well - possibly.

Some models have Composite and S-video input only, and others have Composite, S-video and Component (YrPrPb) input -- but all models have RGB/Component in the form of a VGA port.

According to this survey, http://www.hdretrovision.com/240p/, it seems to be a pass for 240p signals -- now I'm not sure if that is by 60hz framerates or both 60 and 50hz (hopefully both).

What about Video Processors?

Basically, I want to be able to play my MK games on a modern TV - instead of having to use the Gonbes converter - I feel like it would be a cleaner setup.

If anybody has input, please do add! This might be helpful to many who don't have the space for a cab! (I have for now.... while it's at my parents house lol).

You will probably have good luck posting over on Shumps (http://shmups.system11.org/) and asking in the hardware forum. There is frequent discussion about line doublers and video processors, and a lot of the users have Supergun setups.

Yeaa I know about the framemeister. It does look pretty good but I'm not sure how well they work with the Midway games slower refresh rate of 53hz. If I can confirm a source that claims that it does work, and the latest firmware is pretty stable, then I guess I CAN budge for that lol.
