Got a Pac-Man cabaret from fellow Klover Kyle (kfuller19).

It was working , but it needs some love.

I've refurbed the G07 monitor (cap kit, flyback, pots, hots, etc). I also installed a HSSK and FreePlay roms with attract mode.

Now it's time to restore. Here she is :

The marquee is in excellent condition as is the Bezel. So I won't be doing anything to them.

The CP is pretty bad, so I ordered a Repro from Takeman that I hope will be here soon :)

I went ahead and ordered 3M DI-NOC Marine Teak Wood Grain Wrap Vinyl . I ordered a 48" x 60" piece for the 2 sides. The side is around 23 1/2 x 56" so I can cut it in half and be fine. Then I ordered a 24" x 48" piece for the front.
Total cost shipped was $212 shipped. Expensive but I've spent that much for sideart so........

Here is a pic of the new with the old on top. The old is slightly darker but I really think it's because it is so dirty. You be the judge.
It's funny because when I have my wife hold it up to the side of the cab and step back, it looks almost identical.

I just ripped off the vinyl and disassembled the cab. T-molding will be here soon.
Time to re-paint the black parts and powder coat the coin door.

Here goes another one :D

Great cab and sweet that you are replacing the wood grain vinyl. I've done a few wood grain cabs myself and I can tell you you'll never get an EXACT match. As long as you get the grain pattern close and the color and tone even closer, you'll be alright. Looks like you found a good enough match. I usually order mine directly from Hong Kong and it is much cheaper. Did a DK cabaret almost 2 years ago and it still looks great.

I got Lil' Pac finished up today :D

I totally stripped it down and re-did everything.

The power supply looked terrible so I cleaned it and out it on a new piece of 1/2" plywood :

I stripped the coin door with a wire wheel and then sandblasted the corners and impossible to reach areas. I then powder coated it with Hammered Black :

Here's some of what I did :

1: Sand repaint all metal parts in the cab.
2: Sand and repaint marquee brackets/bezel brackets/coin box top
3: Make/Paint bottom protective L-brakets
4: Simple greened the monitor/chassis
5: Sand/polish all chrome pieces.
6: Prime sides/front with 3M adhesive primer
7: Install 3M wood grain vinyl
8: Clean buttons/joystick and repaint joystick
9: Install CPO on Takeman's reproduction CP
10: Rebuild CP
11: Install t-molding
12: Sand/Repaint back door
13: Install new locks
14: Put everything back together

Great job! That vinyl looks nice. I like the tighter woodgrain.

Looks great. I love the Pac cabaret. I have the 4 in 1 and high score save on mine. It's the perfect height. I have more fun playing the cabaret than the upright.

Yea me to. And Pac is easier on a smaller screen for me. I can see the whole screen at once so I can keep track of everything better.

Looks great, I'm working on one i just picked up a couple weeks ago. I'm going to put a multi Pac in it also. This will be my first game that will actually come inside the house because they are just Cool looking and the size is perfect.

Just picked up a Ms Pac Mini and am planning to do a restore on it soon. A few questions for you.

Can you post a link to your source for the wood grain vinyl sheeting?

Where did you get the clean cpo and sub control panel artwork?

This is for anybody: What is the best multi-pac kit available? I had the Spaeth kit in my old UR Ms Pac and the wife loved that one, but know that there are others out there.

I used 3M DI-NOC Marine Teak Wood Grain Wrap Vinyl. It's very expensive.

You'll need this:

And this:

This is what most people use because it's cheaper. But it's also very thin. :

The repro control panel was done by Takeman. I don't think he has anymore. It was around $142 shipped with the overlay.
