Hi,

my Lethal Enforcers Cab is currently running with a Police Trainer and it works fine but i thought it could be cool to add a Neo Geo MVS Jamma Board, like this one

http://cgi.ebay.de/4-fach-MVS-BOARD...pt=Automaten&hash=item19c5e76ced#ht_500wt_922

My question is now since i only have 2 Lightguns and 2 Start Buttons on Lethal Enforcers, where do i plug in additional buttons and joysticks for the MVS games?
Do they have to be wired directly to the Jamma adaptor or can i plug them onto the MVS board? When i wire them directly to the Jamma adaptor, does Lethal Enforcers and Police Trainer still work correctly or do the additional buttons interfere with the guns?

Thanks!

The extra buttons and joystick inputs need to go to the harness connector. You'll also have to do a bit of rewiring because the MVS board is *NOT* Jamma. The one slot Neo is, but the four slot is it's own pinout.

The only Neo that I'm aware of that's Jamma is the single slot. The other ones aren't too far different from Jamma, they follow the MVS pinout - it's the same physical connector, but the wiring is slightly different - the speakers, and some of the button inputs are different.

Technically, the Jamma standard only supports mono sound, two players with three buttons each. The MVS cabinets use four buttons per player, have an additional game select button, and stereo sound.

The single slot board doesn't have the game select button or stereo sound, and the fourth button is a 'deviation' that most harnesses are wired for anyway.

It's not hard at all to adapt the wiring from Jamma to MVS - only a couple things need to be changed. But just be aware of that.

Thanks man, i love this forum :)

The main reason i want a neo board is Metal Slug, so 3 buttons each are enough. I think i keep looking for a single Neo board, if i find one in Europe :/
