Hi, I just purchased (3) lighted buttons for my Simpsons Bowling and I'm not quite sure how to wire these up....I recently just installed a blue translucent Happ Trackball and I have the light mounted under the trackball unit and wired from the coin door light and looks and works prefect...my question is can I splice off these wires for each of the (3) buttons or will it cause a short or blow any of the bulbs...I can post pics if you want a better look to see how I currently have it wired to the trackball, just never hooked up lighted buttons so figured I'd ask someone for help....Thanks !

just run your wires straight off the switching power supply, its label 5+ andn 5-, i think thats what those lights run off of

I just wired up a couple of the LED buttons that Bryan Armitage sells on here last night. I believe that only his pink ones run on +5 and the others run on +12, but you can double check that in his "for sale" thread. You should be able to run them all off of the same splice, and just jumper them- that is what I did for my two buttons. I basically cut a +5 wire coming off of my power supply (since it is a computer style) and spliced in another wire that runs to the first button. Then I just jumpered to the next. You can also jumper your standard ground wires over to the buttons as well. If you don't get illumination at first switch the wires (+5 and ground) and it should work. There is probably a limit to how many you can run off of one power line, but it is my understanding that the actual LEDs require very little power to run, so you should be fine with a few buttons. Good luck!

I have my SF2 running 8 buttons with no problem off the power supply .I made little jumpers for the grounds and one wire that i have feeding power to all the buttons.+5 right off of the power supply is what I did.I am adding 6 more buttons and plan to run these off of the same supply dont know if it will have enough juice to power all of them but well see. ill take some pics of my wiring mess to give you an idea.
