The monitor in my bbh2 is starting to get all weird on me and needs a new horizontal width coil (way out of my league at the moment)
So as a quick fix until I can get the monitor rebuilt I am planning on getting one of these sintron cv04 boards which takes the rgbs signal and converts to a component video (or svideo). So I can use a regular tv
My question is will the light gun still work?

In theory yes, since it's all about redraw/sync of the CRT white flash when you pull the trigger. I almost thought you were going to say "replace with LCD display" and in that case it would NOT work due to technology difference. Pretty sure you'll be fine with a consumer CRT television, can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work.

I feel like it should work too.. I just hope that the signal from the gun doesn't have to travel back through the video signal or something weird like that.

Nah, the optical sensor is pretty dumb, it just goes high when it sees bright light, then the timing algorithm figures out where on the screen you must be aiming and bingo, bob's your uncle.

I don't think it's working right... I'm afraid that I may need some sort of converter to handle the hz possibly.. I think the cv04 is trying to push 60hz when it needs to push 15hz?? How do I handle that!
