My tv was made in march of last year, and had a one year warranty. It made it one year and about 3 weeks before it went POP. I took the back off and the board I believe is the inverted has a small part that let's out a large arc. The pic is the offending part, but I don't know what it is. It says 222KS630V NP A 42 PP. Can someone help me out with identifying this part please.

Tip replace the board! It may be very cheap if you check..
is it the board on the right, standing behind the set?
with two flex ribbons going into the panel?
i've seen them burn holes in the board, take the board off
and inspect it on bothside's..
the Z sustain board. Possible bad panel!

From behind, it is on the left. It looks good other than that one cap. I plan to replace the obviously bad part and if that doesn't fix it then ill look for the board.

then it would be the y-sus buffer board
a long board..why don't you take a picture.
don't bother with the model number so we or i would know which
one your working on..

If its just the cap then you need to play the lotto
because you will be a lucky guy!

Ok, here it is. It's the board with the two large black heatsinks towards the bottom in this pic. When searching for a replacement board, do you look by the model number of the tv, or by the model of the board?

That would be the YSUS board.

Search for the model of the board.
There will be a sticker on it that says something like:
6871QYH953A

You can also search for the TV's model # and add "YSUS board"

You should replace the y-buffer along with the y-sus
because it may have shorted mosfet ics on it, that way you'll know
its the panel if it smokes or lines in picture etc..
it is best to get the numbers off the boards and replace both
boards at the same time.
