I just bought this Capcom Vs SNK knowing that the monitor wasn't in the best of shape, and rather than try to guess what it wrong I was hoping you guy would get me on the right track.

The man issues is that Red bleeds to the right, there are diagonal lines, and the contrast is horrible.

Here are some photos, I even hooked to a different board to eliminate the Namoi as the problem.

I adjusted every adjustment and this is the best I could get, including screen and focus on the back.

A couple different settings:

Screen all the way up and contrast all the way up black level down

Assuming you have already recapped it then the tube needs to be rejuvenated.

Nope, I just got it. If I recapped would it be possible that it would solve the problem without needing to rejuvenate? Rejuvenating is where you put high voltage to somewhere on the tube?? I can't remember. All I remember was that you can easily screw it up?

The monitor is a 25K7191 - I order a kit from Bob? How do I contact him, what is the cost?

You have a K7000A (Zenith version). Uses the same capkit as a K7000. However, the flyback is different and is not available anywhere.

Zanen Electronics capkit # 204 is also correct for this monitor. Phone 806-829-2780 to order (they are in Texas and they accept credit cards).

To order from Bob Roberts, you email him, he totals it up and gives you the amount. Then you mail him a money order.

I think you will still need to rejuvenate the picture tube though. It looks like shit.

Thanks Ken! Is there a good thread about how to rejuvenate a monitor? I read about it somewhere here, but I don't remember enough. I think I will just order from Bob, everyone seems to love him.

Too bad about the flyback. :(

Since this is a Naomi it can use a 31khz monitor correct?
