I need to level my pinball machine(at the moment it's leaning to the left), however I have no way of taking off a leg and doing adjustments to it then. What is the best way to adjust the levelers on the machine?

Tilt it and level it use something to prop it up 1 inch and use the leg leveler bolt to adjust. Don't take the legs off, it is my opinion that you don't remove legs anymore than you have to that's just me. Solid state machine or old EM. Do you have the right pitch also? What game also?

It's a William's No Fear machine(Solid State), the leveler on the right is just a lot longer then the one one the left, both front and back.

I crawl under the machine, then use my back to hold up the machine just enough to take pressure off the leveler. Then I can turn it a few times to where it needs to be.

If you have a helper, just have them lift the machine an inch or so. I never have a helper though. Pregnant wives don't do much more than eat and lay around. :D

Obviously (or not) it should be noted that the level should be on the actual playfield during leveling, and not on the glass. After all, the ball rolls on the playfield.

2nd, you only level left to right, not front to back (surprising how many I see where the playfield is perfectly flat and they wonder why the ball keeps getting stuck).

As for turning the leg levelers - I just stick my knee under the edge of the pinball while kneeling on the other knee, and lift that corner an inch or so while twisting the leveler. If you're short, this might not work.

Also, if you don't have a small level, I've found you can get good results by holding the ball at the top center of the open playfield area and release it. If it rolls straight through the flippers, then it's pretty level. If it rolls to one side or the other, then you can adjust that side up or the other side down...

This is how I do it as well, it's nice to have a helper to keep an eye on the level while you do this so you don't have to keep on checking yourself. It's also a good way to move the machine around if you have other pins or games around it.

I have the levelers on the rear all the way down and the fronts all the way up.
Then I adjust the fronts till the playfield is level.
I love my pins fast.
