I finally have a working, Pole Position 2. Early on I decided to rebuild the power brick, and both AR boards. My voltages look great and I routed the +5 and ground to the test points on both boards. All the audio seems to work well also. My problem is with the video output, it will be perfect sometimes, and total crap the next.

Replacing both harness connectors seems to have improved things quite a bit.

If you shift hard during a game, thats enough to cause it to go bad. My assumption is that it has something to do with the crap connections between the boards. Also I need to say that using a different monitor did'nt change anything. I have a spare G07, but the original Matsushita, after a cap kit, actually looks better.

Some of the posts here have mentioned getting rid of the filter board. What exactly is that? Is it the large board on the outside at the end of the board cage? Also is there a better solution for the board on the other end, inside the cage, it seems to be rather lame as well?

The filter board is the board at the end of the cage. Remove that and plug the harness directly in to the two boards...

and if that dont work run your 12v and 5v directly into the board like i did.

Anyone have the pinouts of the two boards? I would like to route the 5v to the test points, but everytime I test a wire, they all seem to have positive power.
