KLOV'er "Level 42" stopped in tonight from The Netherlands! Glad we had some time to chat.

Gary

Finally got internet access again. First post from my brand New iPad:)

Gary, thank you very very much for your warm welcome at Funspot, it was truelly great meeting you and talking about the games etc. !
We were very happy to spend 4 nights this time at Funspot/ACAM, it truelly is not just the largest but also the greatest arcade in the world.

It's amazing to see how you keep all those classics up and running.

For the Euro guys as you can see I did some Eurocade www.Eurocade.eu promotion :)

And........... I put the topscore on the Gravitar, although it was still way below my personal record...but i was really out of practice :)

More later !

What was your score? And, how close to the world record was it? Always like to hear about someone coming into the home of World Records and putting up a new high score. The regulars will be scratching their heads trying to figure out who in the hell topped them! Makes me smile...

Hope you enjoyed the trip!

Thanks for all the welcomes !

The hi-score was nothing spectacular....something in the 40000...

This is my personal hi-score on CKONG's machine (when it was staying at my home for a few weeks):

Still LIGHTYEARS from the worldrecord....

What a brilliant and underrated game it us, I love Gravitar !!!

The other revelation for me, which I totally did not expect:

Hard Drivin' !! Another "too hard" game for the arcade thus great for home use....I loved playing it !!!

i think it would be fun to figure out a way to send a bunch of video games to the Netherlands in a container, and send back a bunch of pins to the USA !

There are two games I'd like to send to someone in the Netherlands, but as gifts. The problem is it costs more to ship than the games are worth.

Darren Harris
Staten Island, New York.

Who might that be?

Don't mistake US prices for European one's....it may totally be worth the shipping.

Anyway, funny thing.....Last days of our holiday and I showed the pics of Funspot to my cousin where we are staying now and he wants to go !!!
So....tomorrow we will be back one more time !!!!!! It's only 1.5 hrs. From here so.....
Hope to see you again tomorrow Gary !

Staten Island huh....damn, I knew we should have gone off the ferry ;)

The good thing: if you ship the cabs as gift, there are no import duties & tax etc. !!

Gary....I noticed there is no entry for Gravitar on the "scoreboard" at Funspot....although it's not spectacular, would you register my score on Gravitar ? My initials are DRE so you check the machine, it was still there 2 days ago :)

Glad to see you having a good time stateside here.
I'm already wanting to head back to your side of the water for a real holiday. ;)

You know you're always welcome to visit my place !
Although I have a small collection, I do own the BEST SW cockpit in the world.
(Bragging is completely against my nature, but until I've seen and played a better one, I will stand by this ;)).

Anyway....I made a foolish promise to the guys at www.dragonslairfans.com forum and well....a promise is a promise:
