Great video. When I get a new game this is the first thing I do and I do it right in the driveway if I can. Then I dismantle the monitor for a more thorough clean and dry. Use the compressed air to blow out all of the connectors after unplugging them. They will hold water for a long time. So will the POTs. It will also air dry a lot better and a lot faster this way. A fan blowing on it overnight will do wonders. I often just lean the chassis over the furnace vent in the floor overnight since I have my furnace fan blow 24x7 anyway.
I prefer to wash the monitor when it is still inside the cabinet. These old wood cabinets really need to soak for a few days to get them really clean!

Laugh if you will....
Do not do this with Particle board cabinets and don't let it soak, however, I have hosed out the inside of Williams Cabinets before.
I washed the inside out, used the Wet & Dry vac to get all the water out and then let it dry outside in 110F weather. Worked very nicely.

Yikes! how dirty was that cabinet to warrant a bath?

Not too bad. It was in his living room....![]()
Sitting in the hot summer sun after a simple green bath and rinse is my method.![]()
Great stuff - nicely edited too.
Thanks for posting that video Chance. I've read about this but don't think I've actually seen it done.
Let me know when you post the video on how to change a lock on a coin door.
