Ive been chatting with a guy whos family was in the op business way back when.

Hes kind of like a hoarder if you will, hes got a warehouse full of stuff like old vacuums, sinks, etc. However, he has also kept his favorite games from bitd. Its taken me years just to get him to talk about some of these games and show me pics. Alot of what hes hanging onto is krap but he does have this pin. Theres other cool stuff too like a burgertime cocktail, etc.

The pin supposedly plays good(fwiw) and playefield is decent, but backglass is supposed to be flaking pretty bad.

Has anybody ever seen one? Played one? Seems kind of rare, any idea on the value?

I might be able to work a cash+games type deal to obtain it, i will go for it if its worth it.

Mr. Pinball & Pinpedia have it listed as 3,950 produced, so not all that rare. Mr. P's got it listed as $550, but that's in a nicer condition than you describe. Sounds like a $250-$300 machine in that condition, and it's probably got the original batteries sitting onboard just waiting to kill the PCB. It ain't a Faberge egg, but he probably thinks it is. Just my blunt 25-cent opinion...

I used to play it when it was new in Bally`s casino in Atlantic City. Good pin. They did make quite a few but you don`t see them for sale everyday. If the guy is a hoarder try trading him a bunch of stuff for it.

I had one for about 5 months. Only sold it due to space issues. Its a solid game, a classic George Christian design with a good ruleset you need to be strategic about to maximize scoring potential. The sounds are fun, especially when you nail the spinners. It also doesn't have the typical ascending droning background sound common on games of this era. It has a steady little rhymic tune that plays along and gets faster with time.

The backglasses on this game due seem to peel more than other Bally's of this time period as mine had some lifting along the bottom edge. Overall though it has a nice art package. Mine had the prototype 3D eye effect which was cool.

If you can grab it for a good price, I would. Its a fun game that you don't see too often despite decent production numbers.

Im gonna keep going for it. HE has other stuff id like to have too, so i just ned to keep schmoozing. Believe me ive been working the guy from every angle there is. Kind of lucky fr me he was driving without insuance recently so he needs some money to get back on the road so i might have my shot here real soon.
