I don't get the popularity of this game but I have access to 3 H2H sit down cabs that I'm trying to get fixed up and linked.

Anyone have any idea how to link them?

We have like a few of these sit downs and a Rave Racer sit down... for some reason I vastly prefer the Rave Racer IMHO... anyone want to give their 2 cents on why Cruis'n USA is so popular and why it's a good game?

Opps, I just found this thread

The success of the Cruisin' games was largely attributed to the fact that it was such a dumbed-down driving game that any two people could sit down at the machine and race each other and regardless of skill level they'd have a fairly close race and also feel like they were good. It was a brilliant game design decision in an era full of more simulator-esque racers like Daytona, etc. that you had to be a pretty good gamer to master. In Cruisin' a little kid could play the game and finish the race. The results were that the games earned a ton of money and it was one of the company's most successful games (especially Cuisin' World which sold steady big numbers for like 2 years and earned well for far longer).

The Raw Thrills drivers (with the exception of H20verdrive and Dirty Drivin) follow the formula of the Cuisin' games and are for the lack of a better description, sequels to that franchise. They do pretty well, albeit in a MUCH smaller market.

I was recently looking forward to adding a Cruis'n Exotica to my collection. Nice looking dedicated cab, variety of colorful venues to race, cool car selection. I really tried to like it, but found it just not fun to play. Granted they did make a ton of money in their day. I am totally into Rush 2049. I will never buy any of the Cruis'n games.
