From Fresno, CA. What a find and what a fun experience we had with some fellow KLOVers.

Here's an Op's place I visited last year where I grabbed 7 games. Thinking of making a trip back.

Here's a set from the warehouse that was over in Kalamazoo, MI. Supposedly this was the former home of Kalamazoo amusements though I can't understand why they didn't realize they had valuable games inside and let them rot. The story goes that someone eventually bought the land and intended to tear the building down with all the games still inside. A local collector (I believe he is/was more of a pinball guy) found out about this and worked out a deal with the new owner to sell what they could before it was torn down. This guy and his buddy ran several sales on behalf of the owner for a few years. A lot of stuff in there was too far gone to save, but a few rare titles were saved including Quantum, Warrior, and 2 Star Wars cockpits. Of course these games were sold right away and this pic set is from a later sale. I had a chance to go through it in August of 04, which was one of the last times they had a sale. If any Michigan members happen to have any more pics, I'd love to see them. I know a guy from the UP had a whole set on his site one time but they are long gone. :( I would say the carnage of that whole place is best summed up by this pic I took (crappy quality but what can you expect from an early digital camera :D).

This warehouse raid still remains my favorite thing I've done in this hobby. Having a chance to explore that place was a lot of fun, especially since I had only been in the hobby for about a year and my collection was a lot smaller. My buddy JoshBrown1980 was there too and he was only a few months at most into the hobby. Every time we were in Kalamazoo for an auction we'd have to swing by the place to see if it was still standing or had finally been knocked down. Just over a year ago we drove by after the Pinball at the Zoo show and saw that they had finally knocked it down.

Rob Gonyer's haul - HOLY SH!T !!!

Damn good haul there, Mr. Gonyer...

I gotta know, when did you get that trailer load (pics 39-42) and how much did you pay?

Soooo Jealous...:(

Nice find, did you keep it all or resell?

Niiiice....

I think I may have heard about this one - was it within the last year?

I gotta know, what kind of prices did you guys get on some of that stuff?

Damn - I need to get in on one of these.

Someday, someday.....:)

Sorry for any confusion with my post, but that's not my trailer or games. I wish it was because that is indeed a sweet haul. Not sure if that guy posts on KLOV, but maybe he does and can share his story. I'm just sharing pics of that place. Like I said I was there on 04, but these pics are from one of the previous sales there. I ended up pulling out an Asteroids, Pac-Man, and Tempest. All of them were project machines, but at least salvageable.

Went to that Kalamazoo warehouse as well and I picked up the following:

Tron
Burgertime
Asteroids Deluxe
2 or 3 Pac cocktails
I believe I got a Centipede cocktail as well.

I can just remember arriving there and getting the tour and they said don't go in that room over there or you will fall in the floor. There was definitely some interesting stuff in there. Tons of games had white mold issues(including the ones I had), but they cleaned up nice with bleach, etc...

I believe I paid roughly $150-200 a game since I pulled some of the better ones at the time(was there early on). Cocktails were a little cheaper.
