So I wanted to document my journey to see how far you can get in this hobby with just
a small investment of 100 bucks..
It started off with a pretty ragged Street Fighter and a super clean Commando with no marquee. (payed 50$ each)
Both had board issues.. Commando didn't work...
Street fighter worked okay but that cab was very water damaged..
I sold the SF and Commando boards and made some money back on them.. plus kept the
super clean SF monitor and coin door..
I recently bought a nice commando marquee for 20 bucks shipped on ebay and a multi board from a fellow klover.
So we're back in at 100 bucks.
I installed the multi board with the Jamma harness from the street fighter into the Commando.
At first I had monitor vertical hold issues, but thanks to an old thread I found
on KLOV and Mods endless knowledge of everything arcade I got it buttoned up.
Now that I have it working like a charm, I posted it up on craigslist for 400 bucks.
lets see how far that 100 dollar bill goes.
I've had 6 emails on it already and if it sells tomorrow I found a working Phoenix (some issues) local for 100 bucks.. I'll take that Phoenix and combine the best parts from the one I already have and see where it goes from there.. maybe another multi for craigs list, but hopefully the leftovers from the phoenix are enough to clean up and sell as a dedicated cab for someone who wants the very AWESOME game.
