Let's save an Atari Warlords Cocktail

It's been a few months wait but the harnesses for both Warlords and Bubbles made their trip from Canada and are here.

With a little luck I will finally be able to finish this up over the weekend.

If anyone is enjoying this thread and wants to buy a complete kit to build a warlords from scratch, I have one for sale. It includes new cabinet, working PCB/AR-II, new harness, parts repro'd by takeman, art by Phoenix, etc. etc.

Real close now just chasing down a few bits.

- No volume, no doubt the arII may need service.
- Game seems to be set to two player even though it's displaying in proper cocktail mode.

Figured the little bugs out. Everything up and running.

Volume was a bad speaker
Game was actually fine in free play mode for 4 people. I got my wires backwards on two of the volcano buttons, so an easy fix.

Only thing left now is one dead bulb in one of the volcano buttons and making a couple of latches for the locks.

Warlords is officially back in my collection.

Atari really outdid themselves with the design of the 4player Warlords cocktail. So pretty, my precious.
Glad also that I restored mine from its horrid conversion. A true keeper in the collection. :)

I was curious to see how many WL cocktails are listed in VAPS. Too bad almost 50% don't know which type of cabinet they own (or perhaps those are PCB only owners?). LOL

Year: 1980
Cabinets:
  • Upright/Standard - Owned by 27 members (17.53%)
