So, i got this (and some other stuff) in lue of the working boards i was supposed to get. I was told it was untested so when i plugged it in, the power supply made a little noise, a white screen came up I am not surprised. It had a peice of tape on it..., I looked up the board with the name on the tape and although it looks very similar, it doesn't have a daughterboard like they do..

What do you guys think it is?

If the date is 1992 I am wondering why it is not jamma. There are no other words on it at all?
Definitely is jamma. But there is no other writing on the board. I figured street fighter 2 would be labeled better? Maybe it is a bootleg, but then how am I supposed to verify the roms??

@Oryk Zinyo
It has the same basic design, but you are right. Every other street fighter board i have seen has a daughter card.

@kane086
Really... It has the same set of four 27C010 chips (in the upper left of my picture)?? I am pretty sure one of those is bad (can't do a clean read and re-verify on it)

Now i am intrigued.. I may need to put a little time into this board!! :)

Lets see if i can get the ROMIDENT going with my programmer.... Thanks for all the replies! If anyone has a picture of their bootleg that looks like mine, it would be appreciated. I just want to make sure that everything it where it needs to be.

I have one of these, it's a bootleg SF2 WW. You can read or dump one of the eproms and then use romident to verify it. It's so easy even I was able figure it out. ;)

Haha i will try it out when i get home. R3LLIK, you have a pic of your board??? ... Wondering what numbers the rom chips should be labeled with.

Except for being really dirty, the board is in good shape! Not a lot of corrosion if any etc. I want to see if the white screen is from the roms chips being bad/erased...

Sorry, no pic. I wish I could take one except the board is in a spot that's incredibly hard to get to at the moment.

Oh ok. In any case, I will see what ROMIDENT says when i get home from work!

If you remember next time you come across it that would be cool. Thanks anyway.

And the winner is.....

Street Fighter II' - Champion Edition (M3) bootleg!

Verified the rom chips, and after reseating them instead of getting white, i got a garbled screen with a figure shadowed in the middle. BUT then it went away, and white screen again. Guess this will go up for sale too... bummer.
