I love this game. Hands down one of my favorites. Anyone else with me?

Any Gameplay strategies? I watched the MAME WR on youtube and the guy was crazy, I can make it to the 3rd stage without dying, but then I lose quick. Stupid falling rocks and those mummy guys.

Also what else is a good game like this? Besides gng

I have yet to play that game for more than 5 minutes, unfortunately. I've heard good things about it from others. I really enjoyed Magic Sword, and have been told it is very much like it.

I never get tired of watching that animated gif. You can just hear him yelling it. :D

Just be sure to shoot the walls a lot for hidden items. Mummies usually come in pairs, so if you kill one wait for the next. Stay ducking and you'll have little trouble with them. Boulders are more of just knowing where they are, but if you go slowly you'll be able to dodge in time. There's very little reason to move fast on most levels. Time is rarely an issue. It's a great game, but probably gets the least play in my home, mostly due to the fact that in order to get any enjoyment you have to play it for awhile. Always upgrade armor first.

yea I tend to do armor and if I need the weapon. I am trying not to continue when I play, more enjoyable and keeps me at it. I havent seen past 3 in a gameplay only on video and dont remember what it looks like. I know a few secret wall spots, but only about 3 within the first 2 levels. This game is awesome. Do you always go for the dungeons?

Allways go for the dungeons...you get more points. When I moved back from the UK when I was 17 and was living in Vancouver for a brief time there was a Black Tiger in the arcade in the greayhound station. After breakfast my morning ritual was to play that game....I got so good at it that I could beat the game on a single quarter so the high score was mine....ended up moving to Chilliwack about 2 months later.I went back into Vancouver a year and a half later and stopped in the station to play a game and sure enough my highscore was still there....ahh the memories :)

This is one of the games i can solve on 1 quarter/credit.

There is a guy 1 hour from me selling a nice one. It has been listed on ebay several times, and nobody bid on it for $119 last time.

He wants me to pay $120. I say, shit, I could have paid $119 and you would eat $20-$30 in ebay and paypal fees.
Guess I am being a cheap ass. I want to pay $100. lol

great game

This is a great game. I have been waiting to find a board at a reasonable price, but play it on a couple of ultracades around town. I also own Magic sword, Rastan, and Golden axe II which are also good if you are into Medieval themed games. Majic Sword feels very much like Black Tiger to me, but I like Black Tiger a little more.

One of my favorite JAMMA games, and one of the first PCBs I bought.

How about we pass on that today! ;) Black Tiger is a great game. One of the original 3 I bought and regret getting rid of. Though I did get to where I could pass the game on one man. Great game!

The hardest part about the game for me was that jump on level 7, but that was probably because the arcade I played in had a 4-way stick instead of an 8-way. The last dragon was a bit of a challenge too, but definitely a 1-quarter game.

Oh yeah, having only a 4 way would make that damn difficult...

Yep, I lose lives mainly to forgetting where the falling rocks are, that jump, and the last boss.
