Would $600 be a fair price for a non-working lethal weapon 3 pin? The game is in pretty rough shape. The playfield looks to be in good shape. Machine would need to be compltely shopped and a few plastics are missing or cracked and the part of the silver mirror in the back of the machine is missing as well. I know I can fix all of the cosmetic issues but not 100% sure what is wrong with the machine. It has display issues on the DMD and it is a european machine that was converted to US. The owner claims the machine was working the night before I came to pick it up and then when I got there it wouldn't boot up. The display was scrambled. Everything lit up ok but the game wouldn't play.

What do you guys think?

I say fix it before you sell, it will be worth 2x.

seems a little high but i would really focus on that DMD, those are pricey. worse case scenario, i'm sure someone on here would be interested if you can't get it up and running. especially if the playfield is good. my last action hero is from holland and works like a champ. dutch cpu, guilder coin plastics/mechs. $600 is just right on the cusp for me. but it is a data east, and I have found these to be some of my favs. star wars, maverick, tales from the crypt, really good pins during this short time period.

btw i think someone on here sold a pretty banged up one recently in harrisburg, pa auction (march) for $900 or higher? can't remember who it was but im sure they were stoked about that sale even after all the fees, etc. it played but the cab was really rough, i think the playfield was a little rough too. in comparison to this sale, i would def buy it up

Originally he wanted $850 then he lowered the price down to $700 when it wasn't working. After seeing it in person and the fact that it wasn't 100% working I offered him $600. I told him that even if he didn't want to sell it I would help out as best I could to help him get it up and running. If he gets it working I would gladly give him the $700 for it. Still waiting to hear back from him.

so you already have one in your signature? confused me a little too. hey worse case scenario, you can get all the good parts between your machine and the new one. little costly but you'll have one heck of a machine.

$700 for a fully working, good condtion machine it one hell of a deal. at $600 I wouldnt want to put more than $200-$300 worth of work into it. could have a got a working one for a little more. but again if the playfield and overall cabinet is really really good condition then $600 is a steal IMO

Everything that is in my signature is my dad's collection. I came across this one and am going to try and cram it into my apartment. I sadly won't have a house until May of next year.

DONT DO IT

lw3 (disclaimer:in texas) is a 800-1000 pin in VERY NICE shape,

mine was heavily routed , cab is rough, wasnt working when i got it(100) , ive since repaired it, but you have to think about what the repairs potentially can run

if you pull the trigger, ill help best i can

i have experience with d.e;)

I have one that I have already restored and it is in amazing shape now but its at my parents house now. This one would be for me to keep at my place. Not much for pinballs shows up here in NE so gotta take what I can get :)

You often see nice LW3s for sale for the $1k range and under. I'd probably be comfortable at $500. If the cabinet is decent, maybe more. I don't think anyone has re-run the plastics so you'll have to find used. As for the mirror in back, probably the same.

I paid $650 for mine, fully working and playable. The playfield was in great shape 9/10, but it did need cleaning and a shop job. I think LW3 is probably worth $800-$1000 in this area (Metro Detroit).

On a side note, I really like this game, I don't think it gets enough respect. It's not deep, but it's quick, and fun plus the video modes.

id say thats too much for a lethal weapon 3. ive saw a few nice totally working ones for sale locally for $700.......one for 600

i have heard horror stories of converting games from european.....

i got my lw3 for $750.
it had been routed for some time. working, lots of burnt out bulbs and the knocker is missing.
play field and trans light in excellent condition. some cracked plastics.
the cab is good over all.a few scratches.and the topper is cracked but works.
over all a fun and under rated pin imo.

Since its a reimport + in rough shape me personally I would either get
him to come down on price or pass, does it have the topper, if not that's
another hard to find item.

No topper. I am trying to get him to come down on the price. I know I can get all of the cosmetic problems fixed no problem and I was able to make some of the missing plastics on the other one we re-stored so I know I can fix the one that is busted. My only concern is that it isn't 100% working and I wouldn't know exactly what I would be getting myself into.

i would stick to your guns with the lower price. yeah after reading all the comments, issues, i would stay firm around $450-$500 max. good luck and let us know. would love to see a pic of that back label (ship to country and the coin plastics/mechs) if you get it. i'll post some pics of my last action hero. btw i paid $800 for it back in August 2010 and that sucker is pristine IMO. but it was also priced very cheap too and it wasn't cleaned recently. guy honored that fact that I was the first email.

Well I got him talked down to $600. I think I am going to take a gamble and pick it up on Monday. I'll post pics as soon as I get it and then I am 100% positive I'll be on here looking for troubleshooting advice :)
