Half of the bulbs (15 or so) on the left side of the backglass are out. Only the left side. All bulbs test good. What fuse or connection do i need to look at first. Game plays fine with no other issues.

Is it possible that the first lamp socket is defective hence since they are daisy chained to one another this could be the issue. Please let me know as i am an arcade guy and not a pin guy. Wiring all looked good. I will run the lamp test then break out the meter when i go back on location just did not have the time to look into it deeper that evening.

Another other ideas?

Probably a blown fuse, or burned connector either on the upper right corner of the PS board (in upper left of head), or bad connector on upper left corner of PPB board (in lower left of head). Both boards could also develop cold solder joints, burned pins, and or burned traces on those connections, so pull those boards and repair as needed.

Very common on data east pinballs.

Nope. The Bulbs are in parallel so if the first one burns out, they all stay lit.

Mike gave you the best suggestions, PS connectors and PPB Board connectors. Replace both sides of the connectors and the fuse holders on the PPB Board and you should clear up all of your issues.

Cool. Thanks for the great advise guys. I will check it out the pin agasin on friday and tackle it.

Yup ya nailed it. It was a burnt connector. I had to reflow solder on 4 of the pins as there was none then fired the machine back up and all was good to go. Thanks alot for the great info.
