Hi guys, I'm new to this sort of thing so please bear with me as I explain everything to the best of my ability!

I just bought a Lethal Enforcers cabinet for around $100 and everything seems to be in check except for a few things.

1) My sound is just static and then it dies. I made sure the volume was on and playable during the game. I did have to plug in the sound wires myself, though. It didn't make a static sound when it was unplugged and now it does, so I assume I put it in the right place. What exactly is the problem?

2) When I turn the cabinet on or just randomly during the game is going on, a huge spark and pop goes off in what I think is the black wire. I know that touching monitors, even unplugged can be fatal, so I wanna make sure I deal with this in a way that doesn't get me killed.

Thanks so much for your time, guys.

Lethal Enforcers is a Konami board. Konami boards are notorious for having bad sound sections as the surface mount capacitors tend to leak. The only way to fix the board would be for you to scrape of the resin on the caps, fix any broken traces and replace the capacitors. Your only other option would be to buy another Lethal Enforcers board.

You can scroll to the bottom of this page to see what I'm referring to.
