Did you move the game or do anything to it other than just turn it on one day and have the green screen?

Any game sounds if you coin it up and start a game?

no, it has been in the same spot for a while. it wasnt played for 5 months or so... when i turn it on it makes a loud noise then it goes to that picture.

Thanks for the help, by watching that video, i just learned how to get my shaq attaq pinball cleaned. thank you.I just posted a thread on here to se if anyone lives around me in sacramento that has a le cab.

I think your power supply isn't putting out proper voltages. Doesn't look like the board is running...

Follow the power cord in until you find the power supply, then look for and check all the fuses (with a meter).

Then go to the connector on the board and verify you have +5 there:

Page 4 of this manual will show you where to check....

thanks, it was all fun in games having a lot of games. until one of them takes a dump, and you dont know how to work on them.

that manual is good to have. i just opened the back up and the harness that connects to the pcb is all hacked and spliced together with tape. whoever had this game before me did a hack job.

If you dont get game sounds i would look at the power supply(loud sound is the fan?) or i would check the jamma connector . Measure for proper voltages.

i can here the fan going on. i checked the connector, im thinking its the power supply. i found a guy with a lethal enforcers board, hes going to come over tommarow and test it in my cab. if that dont work i will check the power supply.

LE is based on Konami GX hardware - there is a little push button on the PCB near the JAMMA connector, hold this button IN and power the board up, release the button after 5 seconds. Just a hunch I have.

ok, i just held in that button and nothing . while the machine was on i unpluged the jamma harness from the pcb and the screen stayed the same. green with lines i it.

dude, didn't you say to me in a pm that you have more than 1 jamma cab?

you can pull that board and test it in another game to see if the board is working.

If it is, there is a pretty good chance it's a power supply.

yeah, shouldn't unplug/plug the JAMMA harness while the machine is powered on. :)

little weird, the green screen with lines though when you have no video signal going to the monitor. I don't know anything about Konami hardware, are there any LED lights on the board by chance? do they light up when the game's powered on? (with the JAMMA harness connected, and don't connect it unless the power's off!)

if you have another JAMMA based game handy, I'd say swap the boards, see if Lethal Enforcers works in another cab. you'd probably be better off replacing the full JAMMA wiring in the cab, it's not hard, it'll be a little time-consuming though. now's a good time to dig in and learn this stuff, it's what I did back in '08 when I started my MK collection, and I only had a converted KI cab to work with. I wound up restoring that, and buying another project cab... learning the JAMMA stuff is very easy. it's when you get into non-JAMMA hardware that things get interesting, especially with the old 80s classic stuff that had linear power supplies and older monitors.

do you know how to use a digital voltmeter? cause the easiest thing to check is the +5V and +12V pins on the JAMMA edge, make sure any juice is getting there.

ok. i found the problem the wires in the pic come from the small box on the floor in the cab.its the purple and white wires in th pic, they start from that little box in the right pic, they go behind my monitor ,,if i squeeze the connectors where they meet."the white connector in the midle pic" i get a picture for a second or 2, and when i let it go it goes green again. i think its the connector. im going to try to make a better connection and se if that fixes it.Can i get zaped at all messing with those wires or that connection?

The white and purple are power coming from the isolation transformer and going to your monitor to power it. Just don't have the machine powered on while working on those wires.

What kind of picture do you get when you squeeze on the connector?

If you get a game picture then the power supply (the silver metal box in the 3rd picture) would appear to be working. That also means you should get game sounds if you put a credit on the game and start playing.
