Can I switch out other Jamma shooters (lethal enforcers) into a Lethal Enforcers II Gunfighters cab?
The KLOV listing says that it is a unique pinout, so Im guessing it is a little more difficult?

I'm pretty sure you can swap in the original LE with no problems....both are JAMMA and should have the same pinout for the guns.

I don't know this for a fact (Haven't been able to get the boards yet), but I've been told my Lethal Enforcers (1) is compatible with a LE:2 board and "Police Trainer".

What seems to be the real trick is getting a game that uses the mirror flip (If you don't want to re-wire your monitor to cancel out that effect).

If you have success with either of these let me know!

I think House of the Dead is compatible.

That is incorrect, sega has a very different harness and connections.

I have a "gun machine" in which I can quickly swap out the following games:

Lethal Enforcers 1 & 2
Police Trainer
Rapid Fire
Sharpshooter
Zero Point 1 & 2

Zero point has a slight difference in speaker hookup, oddly enough, so I installed a switchbox to make it easier. It uses SPK+ and SPK- as LeftSPK+ and RightSPK+, both being tied to GND. Hook up LEFT+ and GND for mono use. Plus, although its gun connectors will take a happ gun, the pinout is also different and requires a simple adapter, but it's worth it, ZP is a good target game.

Area 51 and Maximum Force, along with several other titles, will also drop right in.

My bad. I got Lethal Enforcers mixed up with Virtua Cop...

Thanks Yaggy for clearing that up
That is my goal is to be able to play several different gun games in the same cab.
I have a lead on a LEII and was hoping other games will drop right in as this cab looks very nice :)

Thanks for the info regarding Rapid Fire & Zero Point!

I have a LE (mirrored) cab as my gun cab, and a number of different PCBs for it. While LE, PT & SS (and probably LE2) support mirrored and direct-view monitors, Area 51 does NOT. As a result, I swapped a pair of yoke deflection coil wires, so that the mirrored view appears upright with a standard game (effectively making it work as a direct-view). Then I switched PT, SS & LE to direct-view (non-mirrored) display mode.

Also note that A51 appears to require an adapter for the guns, but Happ guns will plug directly into the right-most 4 pins (look closely at the silkscreen on the PCB for the labels).

wow great info thread. I too was wondering about other titles for my Lethal enforcer 1 full size cab. is it possible we can make a list of all possible shooter pcbs that are a direct swap along with others that need some modding maybe something like this.

1 Lethal Enforcers
2 Lethal Enforcers 2
3 Police Trainer
4 Rapid Fire
5 Sharpshooter
6 Zero Point 1
7 Zero Point 2
8 Area 51 (mirror mod and gun adapter needed)
9 Maximum Force
10 Lethal Enforcers 3 ?? unconfirmed

any other titles? great info so far guys, I was really curious about this.

No problem, I think a multi-shooter cabinet is an awesome idea (obviously).
Good luck and PM me if you run into trouble.

Darren, impressed that you know to flip the yoke wires! I think a mirror cab is best for gun games, although mine is just a 19" shell I saved from the dumpster and jammed a 25" in it. It fit right into the supports, what strange luck.

I've posted similar info in probably half a dozen threads over the page year or so. I really should keep a link to it handy, as often as it comes up.

Regarding your list: I think that Maximum Force will likely require the yoke wire swap (if you have a mirrored cabinet), as well as "Area 51/Maximum Force Duo". Also, as I explained, a gun adapter is not needed for Happ guns; it only appears to need one (due to the 8-pin connector). Finally, as yaggy pointed out, Zero Point required gun and sound wiring adapters.

Re other titles:
Tho I don't have it, I'm pretty sure "Egg Venture" will work in a LE cab (assuming

The ArcadeSD board doesn't currently support any gun games, but it has a Happ gun connector. It is planned to eventually support some of the old Nintendo shooting games (Duck Hunt, etc.)

I've never hard of Lethal Enforcers 3, but I'd say there's no chance in hell it'll work in a LE cabinet.

Yeah, I like mirrored because it appears that the monitor face is at the back of the cabinet. In direct-view monitor gun games, shooting at the screen point-blank range seems too easy. The yoke wire switch is pretty easy. Just unplug the yoke connector, identify the vertical wires (yellow & brown on mine), use a pin removal tool to release the pins, and re-install them into the connector housing reversed.

I found this document that might bring some light to the questions about the adaptors.

http://na.suzohapp.com/images/pdf/opticalgun.pdf

Basically most guns have the same connectors +5,GND,TRIGGER, RELOAD AND OPTICAL.

I have a gun that works both with Crypt Killer and Lethal Enforcers 1/2.

Although those two boards have the pins inverted, you can simply turn the connector and ignore the reload pin.

For Area51, the pins are the same, but they are in a different order.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

See this small summary:
CRYPT KILLER
------------
1 OPTICAL
2 GND
3 TRIGGER
4 +5V
5 RELOAD

LETHAL ENFORCER
---------------
1 +5V
2 TRIGGER
3 GND
4 OPTICAL

AREA 51
-------
1 GND
2 +5V
3 OPTICAL
4 TRIGGER
5 RELOAD
