Hello all,

I have a Lethal Enforcers PCB that needs a new EEPROM chip. It's an OKI M16911 14C2 chip, and the game cannot boot without it installed and working.

Anyone know where to buy a replacement? Any good cross reference numbers available? Google has the schematics but no place to buy them.

Thanks!

Just a thought, try initializing the eeprom by pressing the test switch on the board and then while keeping the switch depressed power the board up. After the board starts up you can release the switch and the eeprom will be initialized. This usually solves the problem when the board starts up and after the rom tests will come up with the eeprom bad error.

Hello hitech1,

I tried that numerous times, but the EEPROM would not initialize. My spare board would initialize, but the sound was dead (even after soldering in the 10 caps). Thanks for the input though.

Edward,

Thanks for the tip. I'll get in touch with them.

I called a place called "Superelectronix" in Washington State. They had them in stock for $10 each, but had a minimum $50 order plus shipping. Seems pricey for just one chip.

Great to have your help everyone.
