I finally took the plunge at the last SA and bought a jukebox. Of course the changers are toast. So I sucked it up, put the last of my "hobby money" together and bought the MP3 player for the Pioneers.

So this morning, I has Musica!!!

This is the little thing that makes it possible:

It's a small connector to connect the jukebox selector to the MP3 player to make it look like the individual CD cartridges. You can have up to 54 "CD's" each with up to 100 songs. As opposed to the original changers that had 3 cartridges of 6 CDs per changer (54 total).

That is the hard drive that makes it work. It is out of the case because I am still loading songs.

It is very cool!

I have an old Rockola that I'm converting to a touchscreen MP3 jukebox...

I thought about doing something like that, but I like the way the cdholders flip around on this one. They are split into the 3 vertical columns of 4 holders and each of the 3 columns has 3 faces (36 total). It looks cool when they roll to show the next face. It will look cooler when I put some CD covers (or some playlists) in the slots.

Is it possible to mod all jukeboxes that way? That's basically the only thing holding me back from getting one someday.

Very nice!
I have a real good opportunity to get a Juke, but balk at the idea because I already have a kick - butt sound system in my house. Having a Juke would be cool though..

Those Pioneer boxes have great sound and they have a pretty small footprint too.

Too bad that hard drive kit thing wasnt around 15 years ago! The changers were near impossible to keep working!

i Have my jukebox run through my basements sound system. Krell Amps with 6 B&W speakers and 2 JL subs. I also run TV sound through a NILES ABS-1, so the TVs and projector sound runs when the juke is not in use.
