Let the TRON price gouging continue......

If you haven't seen Chris' Tron in person, you don't know how perfect it is. There's no way anyone could touch the level of detail he puts into a restoration for $1875.

That one definitely deserves the price. As for the original listing...well, you can check out the rest of his offerings. None are reasonably priced.

Do they ever get the message though? I've seen some cabs relisted countless times at ridiculous prices and thought, "what is this seller thinking"? I often wonder what happens to alot of these machines when they don't sell (after many many listing attempts). Do they eventually come to their senses or they hold onto the notion that they are worth that much and that "the right buyer" simply hasn't come along yet? In any case, whether with Tron (expected with the movie i suppose) or other cabs, the gouging has to stop.

With the exception of this guy http://cgi.ebay.com/TRON-Dedicated-...888?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c1566850 He knows how to price a Tron. Not like the rest of the dirt bags who want to drive prices through the roof. I hope everyone stops bidding on the other over pricers and get this one instead just to send a message.

Its not the sellers who drive the prices up. It's the buyers demand. I say more power to the sellers. You make it sound like a crime when someone tries to make a profit. Gimmie a break. This is America for crying out loud!

Thanks for posting the correct response to all the whining. I would love to see some of you guys buy one of these as a project and really put the time/money into restoring it. First of all, you're gonna spend close to a grand on art and a new monitor(if you can even find one) then you have to deal with the rest of the game. Anybody that's willing to do all that work and let their machine go for anything under $1500 would be an absolute idiot.

Chris your machine is as close to a NIB as you're gonna find so I don't think you're price is out of line. There a a bunch of unrestored Trons on Egay with asking prices in the $2000+ area which is ridiculous even for retail!

I mentioned last week that i was gonna list this and see where the bidders take it. My reserve was purely based off the fact that there are several for sale right now that don't have nearly the time and parts put in that i did. The best part is that i don't need to sell it so i don't really care what happens. If i really want to sell it, i've got a local guy that'll give me plenty for it and i'll avoid all the fees.

Keep watching guys, my initial thought was $1300 was the highest it would get but seriously, i think it's as high as it's gonna get now.

2200 is a very good price in the sellers defense, while I seriously doubt 300 hours was spent repairing it. More like 30... it was nice and probably brought what a seller should retail a nice collectible machine.

I would be the seller my man and trust me, 300 hours is pretty average for the games i restore.
