Just got myself a new toy and want to kit it out with leds. I understand the basics with the inserts to match the colour of the led, what im really trying to get my head around is strenght of the led itself.

Can anyone give me tips on what strenght led to use for backbox, inserts, flashers and GI please.

My recommendation is don't led it. I've seen/played LED TOM's and hate em. I lose the ball over the strobing inserts, the harsh lighting and such. It really makes a non tech themed pin look very techy.

But as you'll soon find out, its a raging debate. All a matter of opinion. The biggest + for led's is the power savings and less stress on the machines power supply and connectors.. But since I dont leave my machine on 24/7, I'm not too worried about it.

Yes some pins seem to not suit LED's.

Recently saw a LOTR with full LED's and for some reason I didn't like it.

Though for an MM I think it works well.

Personal taste I guess.
