So I bought quite a few of these LED buttons, but I can't understand why they're not lighting up! I've tried on several different machines, wiring and re-wiring the buttons with no luck. One side has a power wire running directly from the power supply at 12v and the other is grounded. I've switched ground/power wires on the button too, but that wasn't the problem.

What am I doing wrong? Here's the button I'm using:

Correct me if I am wrong but those leds are 5v at least they were. Also polarity is important leds are diodes so they only let.current go one way. But hooking a 5v led to 12v will cook it.

I measured from the source of the power supply with my multimeter and it was 11.X, so I thought I was doing it in the right spot.

Sounds like it. Try the led with a bench 12v power supply or a car battery to see if you can get it to work at all.

Well first off, the pics are not identical. The pic of the red LED button has 3 lugs, the pic the guy sent you has 2.

What happens when you connect a normal bulb to the power and ground wires you want to use for the LED button? Does the bulb light on?
