is there anything special with hook-up on LED Atari-like buttons? i'm sure they are 5 or 12 volt powered but what else would i have to do for installing them in a custom cab(mulit) used for player 1 & 2 buttons? all of the Atari games i think of blink when coined up and stuff. what actually makes them blink?

thanks

If you are using MAME, IIRC-the caps lock and number lock LEDs flash simulate that (And other stuff) on some games? And I think the Ultimarc encoders support this with the I-Pac2/4 boards.

no, was using a programmable pcb from AS! just trying to theme with an all color blue translucent trackball w/ light, t-molding, marquee & sideart, buttons...... i thought it would be a sweet touch with blue LEDs also!

Good news! The ASmulti board DOES support the +5 start button lights. I have one installed in a Dig Dug and the cone start buttons are hooked up and work the same way they do when I run the actual board in the cab. They flash correctly when coined up and the 1P or 2P stay light depending on how many people are playing.

One minor note; they only work when selecting a game from the boards main menu, if you have the board set to boot to a specific game the lights wont work until you escape to the menu and then select a game.
