I just got a LEATHAL ENFORCERS arcade and most of the time there is no sound. At times you can hear a scratchy sound for a second, then goes away. I looked in the menu and put the sound setting all the way up, but almost all the time there is no sound, just a scratchy sound for a second followed by no sounds at all.

Any thoughts?

also on those doesent the sound work off of some other voltage then +5????

so it might be worth checking your +12 and others to make sure you got it.

sure sounds like a board issue though by your description..

I was thinking the same thing however I do not see and test points on the board to test the 5+ volts and ground connections. I tried testing the power supply at the conectors. It is a pc type power supply, and the voltage was pritty high (around 5.24 and up) out of that connector. Not sure if that is normal or not. I could try a another happ power suppoly that I have but wanted to check on the board first to see if that was to high. Ayone have any ideas on how to test the 5+ on the board?

I did hook up the game to a standard (trusted) 5+, -5 and +12 volt power supply but still no power. so unless there are any other thoughts, I will try and get the caps and see if I can recap the micro sound board.

Those Pesky Konami Boards (TM) have crappy sound hybrids with leaking caps that cause the sounds to go out. Your LE board has one.
