Hey guys quick question, I am having battery acid issues on an elvis pinball. I was so surprised, I thought newer games didn't have this problem. Anyways, I have a karate champ and star wars trilogy, any worry about batteries leaking on those. I couldn't find any but I am total newb.

The newer pins actually have a worse problem due to using off the shelf batteries. Ops chose to put the cheapest replacement batteries in, if they were replaced at all, and these batteries leaked.

I just looked through the KC schematic and I didn't see a battery but I could have overlooked it. Batteries will usually be marked on the board as a 'B###' as opposed to the resistors being marked 'R' and doides marked 'D'. You can look for that nomenclature on the boards or schematic. The batteries used on these old boards usualy look like large axial capacitors. If you snip them off the high score data will not be saved.

I have a karate champ board somewhere around here. If I recall there wasnt a battery on it.
Enjoy fixing that acid damage, it can be very time consuming.
