I just installed new 29" Vizio LCD TVs in my Cuis'n World machines. They fit with about 3/8" of room to spare on the sides and they look great.

A little bit of a thread jack question here but, how much space are you working with? I have a San Francisco Rush that needs to get back on its feet and I'm going to go the LCD route.

I think I only have 28 inches from full left to right on full measurement, but then I also have a giant plastic drop shield that covers some screen space too.

Anyway, are you guys working with 30 inches on the Crusin cab?

If my memory is correct, my sit down Cruis'n World machines have around 28" width inside the cabinet.

I have a 26" LCD tv in my cruisin I had to remove the monitor brackets to fit. Mine was originally a California speed.

My sit-down Cruis'n World machines were equipped with 25" U5000 monitors. Midway did make a version of the game with a wider cabinet and a 31" monitor.

For the 25" Model your best bet for maintaining original screen size is with a 28" 16:10

this Hanns-G model seems to fit the bill: http://www.overstock.com/Electronic...uter-Monitor-Refurbished/5677333/product.html

it's "25.7 inches wide" so you'd have to see if it would fit... but this would give you a true 25" 4:3 image... as opposed to the 21" 4:3 you get from a 16:9 26" LCD

I can't speak for this particular monitor but unlike most TVs computer monitors will generally auto-power up too.

The 29" Vizio TVs I put in my Cruis'n Machines were $234.00 at Wal Mart and they work really good. There is a little bit of stretching of the image, but it is hardly noticeable.

When you spec out TVs from some of the big box stores, be aware that some stores like Wal Mart use the the packing box size for the dimensions, not the TV itself. I verified the sizes at the store with a tape measure.

I retained the old monitor brackets in my cabinets. They came in handy when I constructed the frame for the TV mounts.
