First, I know there are a lot of topics on LCDs in arcades (and the reasons why they aren't the best options), however, most threads I see with significant information is several years old.

While I'm trying to finally get my CRT monitor repaired, I was wondering if there are any newer LCD models that could be used as a replacement.

I currently have a Pandora's Key 5s (with CGA/VGA output and an option to turn on screen "blur" effect).

Right now it sounds like the best ratio would be 4:3 or 16:10, and response time should be as low as possible (5ms or lower).

Does anyone have recommendations for a model they have used in the past that produces a good result?

If this information has already been collected elsewhere with relatively up-to-date information, please let me know and I will remove the thread.

Thanks.

Well it is still a vga theme.

The built in arcade friend cga-vga conversion seems more stable than a gonbes.

The picture is tons brighter than a computer monitor. I had to get a smoked plexi bezel to tone it down.

It has better angle viewing than a computer monitor. And you can buy it specific to handle extreme cocktail table view angles.

It is a cost investment but i am pleased with the benefit. Where I live people won't sell a working cga arcade monitor period. So it just made sense for my demographics
