Ok I built a multi about 3 month ago and about every two weeks the monitor comes up with a no signal text. I flip the dips twice and the game will come back up. would not be a big deal but its on location. I think its running a dell lcd monitor. any ideas?

Check to see if the monitor has a menu that puts it into sleep mode or something.

I'm assuming that you are running this via VGA? Will it fix itself if you just turn the game off and then back on. If so, the location owners can do that without you having to drive out there...

yes it is running vga. it will not fix itself by turning the game off and on. It will work if I hit the test dip switch on. I dont think its in sleep because it displays no signal text on the monitor.

I've seen some monitors that do this when they get a memory corruption in the on-screen menu memory. It will display the "no signal" message with a good input signal. Doing a Memory Recall usually fixes it for a while.

Otherwise, if you have another game board, try that. Or possible replace the cable between the two....

I know its not the board or cable, I have tested others. Do you think I should use another monitor If they plan to have this on location. I think you are right on with the memory recall

If you have another monitor that won't cause issues, then I'd swap it out. I never would have used an LCD in the first place, but that's just me...
