I put a lcd in my 60 in 1 last night. Pulled out the crt. They had the controls and crt spliced through the isolation transformer. I kept everything the same except the isolation tranformerwas being held on to the monitor cable by yellow twist nuts. It left two wires exposed when it came off. Bit me a little when I touched it. Anyway, worked well but when I moved the cabinet, one wire, i assume from the harness that I have yet to identify came off and now the games starts up but the joystics dont work. Player 1 and 2 start the game but you cant move the player in any direction. The wires are hacked to pieces so I thought I would put a new jamma harness in. There is alot of tension as the wires have been cut and spliced and butted and twisted together so I can relieve that with a new harness. I need to know what the layout of the power supply hookup would be since Im told that the isolation transformer is no longer needed. How can I splice the new monitor into the current power supply so I dont have two cables to plug in for one game? Also, I twisted the exposed wires from the isolation transformer together and put a cap on it. Now, the game pops fuses. Im assuming thats shorting the game out? Can i leave everything the same and clip off the plug end to the monitor and splice those two wires to the top of the isolation transformer? Would this destroy the monitor? Sorry with all the newbie questions. Any help would be appreciated.
