Figured I'd pick the brains of some of the gurus here, and see how difficult it would be to wire up an LCD monitor to use as a workbench test monitor for JAMMA and non-JAMMA boards. Is there already an interface board readily available that can be used?

Works well. Doesn't work on 100% of the boards 100% of the time, seems to have trouble syncing on SOME boards. Good enough for me on my test bench.

I used that for a while, until I got the 7" LCDs. That takes up a lot less desk space which is always at a premium, no matter how big the desk is. :(

as in the cga to vga converter?

i've been eyeing one of those for a few months just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

why not mount your LCD on the wall? that was going to be my plan.

i'm guessing the 7" lcd's don't need a converter and are just run off RGB?

I've also been eyeing the PS1 monitors/screen but the ones i always see go for over $50 >.<
