We used to have a laundromat in my home town with arcade games in it. Ms. Pac for sure. There was also a smaller laundromat in the corner of one of the trailer courts in town. They had a Pacman and a Donkey Kong machine, which is the only reason most of the kids I knew went there. Does anyone still have laundromats around them with games in them? Did the one in town used to? If so, snap a pic of the sign out front, especially if it's a 25+ year old original. I'm trying to compile a pictorial of old Laundromat Signs. Even if they don't have games in them now, post a pic of the sign. Thanks.

Yeah it doesn't matter how old the games are, what I am interested in is if they still have any games at all. Could you get me a pic of the sign out front when you get the chance?

Yeah, I can grab that and post later tonight for ya.

This smells of another secret project. Hmm I wonder what Phet is up to now.

Oh, I got it now. Phet is already sick of the space theme for his game room and he's changing it to look like a laundromat. I can't think of very many games with a laundry theme...

We have a laundry room right off the game room, to the right of the Galaxy Blue sign.

I am doing a sign to go above the door, to make it look more commercial. The name I've come up with is 'Cosmic Coin Laundry'. When I went looking around town, I realized that not many - if any of the old Laundromat signs survived around here. I liked the way they looked BITD, and I like to see the creativity that went into designing them from 1950-80.

Sweet- I like the name too! I love most signs from the 50's and 60's- retro at its finest.

Remember these late 60's/early 70's 7*up signs?

We had at least one of these in our town, I believe it was for Del's Cafe, which was also the Greyhound bus stop for many many years.

Who?????????? Looks like some terrible precursor of Anime'. I hate Anime'.

Sad- you, a Herculoids fan, but not a G-Force fan. Yes, early anime from when we were like 10. Similar art to Speed Racer, but a WAY better show IMO.

Sorry, back to your laundromat sign...

Herculoids rocked, and was one of Hanna Barbera's best, the other being Johnny Quest. I thought Speed Racer blew moldy meat whistles. The only 2 Jap-style shows I liked were Voltron and The Mighty Orbots. Later in life, I found The Big O to be acceptable. I did like Blackstar, Heman and Transformers, but those didn't really look anime'.
