I'm not sure how many of you followed my "Road Trip!" thread, but here it is just for reference:

Pic of my buddies 10 year old helping move them from Tilt to the loading dock:

I've always wanted a twin sit down driver, and now I have one. Long story short, I left for Albuquerque Friday night at midnight. Got home around 6:30PM on Saturday, and moved one machine downstairs into my game room before calling it a night at 10:30. Status as of Saturday night:

And at the end of a 6 hour day yesterday:

Overall, I'm thrilled. I can't believe it works the same as it did in the arcade (I thought for sure I would have missed a connector, or broke something). Both shifters work, all speakers work, even the force feedback work on both machines. The only problems with it now is the right monitor is a little dim, the "race leader" is always lit on the right seat, and it needs new fiber optic cables (old ones were "repaired" with electrical tape).

Right on bro, looking good! All your hard work has payed off. I freak out to a bit every time I bring a new game home and plug it in for the first time after transport.

It wasn't so much the transport (although it was 450+ miles) it was the sheer number of connectors. I would've put a large amount of money betting against it working when it first fired up.

And yes, I know I have seats 3 & 4. Seats 1 & 2 were trashed (#1 wouldn't turn on, #2 had minor monitor issues, no force feedback, and an error when shifting). I just need to find some 1 & 2 stickers that cover up the 3 & 4. But that is the least of my concerns now.

wish i had the space for a set of these... my local Tilt still has a nice one available. i think i'll just have to settle for a single Rush the Rock instead, assuming i can work out the deal.

This is a case where 1 + 1 doesn't equal 2. I'd much rather have a matched pair than two separate machines. Sell something, and buy a pair.

Yours a very clean...especially the seat graphics. Mine aren't bad but have wear. Do yours have LCD screens or CRTs? Mine have been swapped out for LCDs. I still haven't unloaded mine from the trip Sunday, hopefully everything traveled okay.

Have you found the music and sound fx adjustments pretty easy? The music was cranked on mine and I couldn't hear the car fx....hoping to turn down the music a bit as its pretty gay techno'y', would rather hear the rumble.

Also, are your seat sliders working 100%? My seats were both L bracketed not to move so those will have to come out, hopefully the seats still slide.

Not a big fan of Sega drivers but after playing Super GT, I've changed my mind. I'm glad you got me thinking about them, enough to pick some up.

CRTs, which is what I want. Besides, all of the LCD ones were going for 3x as much

There are four potentiometer knobs in the coin door, one for each front and back. Music is from the cab, sound fx is from the seat

Mine still slide. It's a pretty simple system, lmk if you want pics or info. I'm surprised that they don't go further forward though. My wife uses the forward most setting, and she's 5'4". Kids will have to use a pillow on the back rest...

It's great to see Super Gt getting some love around here. It's one of Sega's best, with great visuals, and awesome (not gay techno'y'!) music. I guess all it took was Tilt to dump these at rock bottom prices for it to gain some recognition.

Now you guys need to practice and start posting in the old SGT lap times thread.

BTW, I just picked up a st of NOS seat back numbers for SGT. I've been looking for years, and this was the first set to turn up. May you have better luck finding them than I did.

I know a thing or two about BEAST machines and all there conectors,I usually take a marker and mark each before i take it apart but normally there fail safe,as in only certain plugs will fit others.

It wasn't so much what connector went where. I was more concerned with missing a connector that got shoved somewhere where I couldn't see it.

Awesome score. There are two pairs at my local one as well. One is never turned on, the other looks pretty good (but needs a cap kit). If I had the disposable cash, I'd pay the $495 they are asking in a heartbeat.

Was the 3D model useful?

Very much so. That was the reason that I took a trailer down instead of a pickup.

I'll be posting a FS on a GT machine, parting one side due to a dead tube.
Don't want to Jack Austin's thread, but he has first dibs on parts...
I DO have a good seat adjustment lever that will be up FS.

Started a general GT thread... started with my seat adjuster repair. :D

Did you get them off Ebay recently, I was just gonna email the seller to see if he could ask the buyer about scans! Would you mind scanning them before you use them??

Please Please???

+1. I could really use a #1 & 2, since I'm sure I will always get asked why I have #3 & 4

I am in need of #3, if you could get a real good picture of yours, it may work for me. I can do the same for #1 & #2 as mine are in decent shape. I am holding listing the parts machine till I get your wanted list BTW.... Hopefully radiac won't mind doing some scans in any case.

Come to think of it, my wife bought a scanner wand, hell I might be able to scan them right on the seats!! :D
