A listing hit craigslist very local to me the other night. It had no pictures and just said a Ms. Pac-Man and a Galaga.
I called the guy immediately and asked if they worked and what shape the cabinets were in. He said they were pretty good, but both did not work.. I figured it wasn't worth messing around with or worrying too much so I just told him I'd take them. Got his address and immediately left.
Turns out that the Ms. Pac-Man wasn't dedicated but the Galaga was, and was in extremely nice shape. Disappointing since I already have a Galaga and would have loved to have a Ms Pac. I tried to just buy the Galaga, but the guy said he was only selling them as a package. He also said 6 people called while I was on my way to look at them, one even offered more money. Thankfully he had some integrity and told them someone was already on their way but he'd call them back if it fell through. I could only load up one so I loaded up the Galaga in case something happened and had to come back for the other. When I got back, he said 4 more people had called.
I haven't dug into the Ms Pac yet but the Galaga power supply tested bad, so I swapped another in and it fired right up. Picture looks great, and it plays fine.
It even still has the protective film on the top.
