So I read on this article that the Ms Pacman blue paint color mix used to be:

Glidden Rhapsody - EM-6280
Colorant OZ 48 96
Lamp Black 0 12 0
Thalo Green 2 20 0
Thalo Blue 6 28 0
White 0 36 0

Then they stopped making that paint, so someone figured out the new color is:

Glidden Evermore - EM-6212
Colorant OZ 48 96
Lamp Black 0 5 0
Thalo Green 0 29 0
Thalo Blue 1 31 0
White 0 9 0

But I just went to the store and they no longer make Glidden Evermore paint! They have to stop messing with us! :)

So has anyone ever figured out the latest mix to make it the right color for blue?

I just went to Home Depot also. Same answer . . cant make it, dont sell it any more computer wont let us answer.

Searching google and there computer they could make me either

#1 Rhapsody Blue GLN6211 (3862 )

or

#2 Rhapsody (50BG 16/306) does not have the word blue in the name like #1

#1 does not seem right to me, too purple.

Anyone try #2? Or have other suggestions?

I only needed to touch up my own cabinet, so I had them color match the back door of the machine. It looked ok, but not perfect. So if anyone ever figures out the latest and greatest color mixes for Ms Pacman I'm still interested as well.

It fades over time and there were probably multiple slight variations over time. I'm all for accuracy in a restoration, but I think if I:
-find a spot on the game that has been covered and is unfaded, at least by light (but possibly still altered over 30 years)
-match the paint swatches from Lowes or HD to that spot, as close as you can

That's probably going to be as accurate as what someone came up with and posted the formula, right?

Now, the blue is easy to find, under a marquee bracket or something. The pink and yellow? Perhaps I'll just match to a control panel overlay or something. I don't guess you can find an unfaded spot of pink or yellow. Actually, the pink on my cabinet looks closer to white!

Update
I just went with Option #2 as it looks good to me and someone else posted it on the internet. I needed something now and I cant computer color match.

Do not go with Rhapsody Blue go with just Rhapsody from Home Depot.

Buy a quart or one of there $3 touch up bottles if you not sure first.

#2 Rhapsody (50BG 16/306) does not have the word blue in the name like #1
Attached is the screen shot of a can that someone else used. I told Home Depot I wanted the exact same thing (printed it out to show them).

What do you guys think?
