My small-town park's spookhouse was torn down in 1990. I saved this ghost from the rubble when I was nine years old! At the time, my parents didn't have a place to hang it, so I gave it to my uncle. He hung it up at the entryway to my grandmother's basement, where it somehow endured decades of essentially being outside. A couple of years ago, Uncle Frank passed away. On Wednesday, I carefully took down the ghost and sprayed lacquer on it for preservation. It now hangs in my arcade, which used to be my grandmother's porch. It just went around the corner! The piece works perfectly in the ghost-themed arcade. :)

I wish I'd been smart enough to save stuff - some golfing tickets or tokens from Golf N Stuff when I was a kid. Would love to have them now.

Nostalgia is only realized when it's way past the time to easily collect things from our past. That ghost and sign are cool.

The ghost is visible at the top of this photo I just came across online! The place was looking pretty rough in the '80s.

My parents have what's left of the entrance sign. ("RANCE")

The building in the background houses the park's carousel. It's still there, and is the fastest merry-go-round in the world!

My latest decor is more games, but I really need to get in there and some aesthetics done.

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing :) I'm with jawn....I wish I would have saved some stuff from BITD.

@RetroInjection, I actually give you more cred for having a 'Master of the Flying Guillotine' poster. :)

Not sure what the "He Challenged the Warriors from Beyond Time" tagline has to do with that flick but a cool poster none the less.

I loved that poster at first sight, but didn't want to part with the store's asking price. About a year later, the building was being demolished, and I was able to score it for half off! I own hundreds of kung-fu films (Shaw Bros. FTW), and am always on the lookout for more.
