so along with the Q*Bert and Millipede, i also scored this Sega Convert-a-cab Space Fury with some extras... way cool!

I'll get better pics and more info posted, but besides the working Space Fury (monitor is wigging out a little, getting dim and twice vertical collapse on the top half... but mostly working) i also scored a complete star trek kit (populated cage, control panel, bezel, header), a Tac/Scan control panel, a complete Space Fury extra cage, and a fourth cage (in total) with some more boards (almost an eliminator set, and another USB, and a "005" ROM pcb i'd guess by the rom numbers)

here's the extras i got along with it... i'll be asking for help soon to get this stuff tested and either set up to swap, or multigame'd (have the three sound boards i'd need, but i think i'd rather not multi it)... but if my research is right i think i can get an eliminator set complete with the ROMs burned for it and using the "005" (possibly) rom board

That's awesome.

The original monitor is working too? Wow...

Its hard, and i'm new to it, but i like it so far :)
22,900 :(

I have to admit its a heavy ugly monolith of a cabinet... but good gameplay outweighs that, and the art is cool

I'm also excited to get Star Trek running (for cool factor, not a huge fan of the gameplay, but havent given it a fair try), tac/scan possibly which i've not played, and maybe 2p eliminator which would be pretty sweet

After i test this stuff and swapping ease, i'll look into the multi i've read about (been off the forum for months)

I keep mine next to my fire extinguisher. :) Great score especially with the extras. I love Space Fury. It is very hard to put up big scores on it though.

Congrats. That's a great game. The best of the Asteroids type of games IMO. Always makes me hungry for bowtie pasta though.

yeah thats the reason i had my g08 rebuilt and looked over, but i still keep the extinguisher at hand . i think its safe to keep an extinguisher in the game room just in case imho anything could happen with 30 yo machines!

LOL -- I actually looked into doing this but I was told I should ONLY use a CO2 extinguisher because everything else will permanently damage the games.

I was fine with that until I started pricing C02 extinguishers -- wow! Cheapest I found was something like $150.

if i got a game go on fire, i will spray it and chop it with an axe to avoid my entire house and cade collection to go down with it. hell it can be replaced!
then i will cry afterwords....

You can see in the video i was missing the blue color this was a bad XY timming board causing this. I pulled the one from my Multi and put it in so the Space Fury is perfect now. If anyone has a XY timming board please let me know.

How hard is it to find Space Fury vs say Star Trek?

Tac Scan may be my favorite vecor, I would absolutely love to have one.. great find, Space Fury is awesome too...

Wow, nice score. I haven't seen or played that game since 1983. A Happy Chef restaurant in Winona, MN had one in their lobby. So cool, congrats

I believe that the Star Trek is the most common with all the different options it was released as (dedicated u/r, kits for Asteroids, kits for the G80 setup, plus the Cockpit SOS. I I know three Space Fury's that I have seen on KLOV, 1st was ZFcamero, mine, and now this one.
