so i found d102 shorted and d103 shorted and cracked...

replaced and burned up the new ones (result, not cause i guess) and my XY signals are .9-1. and .4-.5 volts

i'm not getting 30vdc anywhere... frame transistors and c100/c101 are next for me i think

unless anyone has any thoughts... ?

Are the leds lit up on the lv2000 now? Not blowing fuses anymore right?

Fuses did blow again, and d102/3... Lv doesnt light now, only right led lit before d102 went up in smoke again

So my input voltage is probably too high, gotta check that 30v+ and 30v- tonight, but if its off i dont know what the cause would be (but im learning)

Thanks

27.25Vac on each phase of input voltage (monitor unplugged), think thats close enough to 30?

edit

ok... i'm starting to suspect the lv2000, the right side (from the back) appears perfect (+34 in, +26.75vdc out, led lit), but the left side is getting -34 in and nothing out and no led (i tried the
left pot up and down)

going to start a repair thread

Ok well the lv2000 is dead on the negative side... Can't really diagnose/fix this surgace mount board, but the maker will replace them for free, thanks jeff, so i'll be sending it out for replacement monday

Maybe thats all i need???

woo hoo!
Red 5 standing by...
a big thanks to Jeff H for fixing the bad LV2000, and super quick to boot = awesome product support! and i didn't even buy it from him
chassis transistors, a shorted deflection cap, diodes, fuses, the lv2000, and i have color XY running in the arcade once again! needs adjustment still, just fixed it, bad pincushioning and centering need attention
