scored this from a fellow klover yesterday... thanks again Mike

classic gold artwork... otherwise decent shape, and previous owner was a big fan so joystick is in order and some extra parts will help out in the future...

monitor (wg 25k5515) is dead, no signs of life, ordering the bob roberts parts i need and hopefully its easy to resurrect... looks good without significant burn so thats always nice... gotta move this up the project list cuz i'm itching to play

sides were painted over grey... and no sideart... (maybe someday i'll get the vinyl and art)

almost destroyed it loading in into the van, oops... but no damage so i got lucky... its an awkward cabinet to move

10/07/2011 EDIT: got the monitor running, added pics and see last post for details

Cool grab! 720° is such a cool unique cabinet. Love the boom box. I dig alot of the skateboard video games not just arcade but console, tony hawk on ps1 / n64, nes with skate or die, game boy with skate or die bad n rad, to the newer Top Skater etc..

Yup cabinet is unique and very cool, game is playing blind so hopefully the monitos is all i need to fix... I probably won't do the artwork upgrades anytime soon, other projects have priority

Anyone know common failures or what i should check on this monitor? Ill replace whatever i can from bob roberts once pulled, but just hoping there could be an easy fix to check for

My monitor was missing both transistors on the side. Make sure they're both there with the screws. Nice pick up and best of luck!

thanks for the tip, but they are there... i'm told the monitor was working before sitting for a while... i wouldn't be surprised if one's bad though...

Hah...yeah that's what mine was sold as. The thing was missing a leta chip and two transistors..would've been impossible for it to ever have been "working".

Check the obvious first. Fuse on the chassis, fuse in the power supply ect...

yup, thanks...
monitor gets 120, no glow

fuse is blown (big one on the left side of chassis) but HOT does not test shorted... so that would lead me to the flyback? should i start by just changing the fuse (or putting in a breaker for testing) and see if it was a fluke/environmental? or does that fuse being blown automatically mean a problem with another component...

i have parts on the way, but the more i can learn the better, thanks!

EDIT: eek, no flybacks available from bob for this k5515, any suggestions?

Congrats on the game and welcome to the club. Don't get too worried about the flyback yet, it may very well not be your problem. Fuses do typically blow when something else has a problem. See any domed caps or cold solder joints? There may be a Randy Fromm flowchart(cheat sheet) on this one? I don't claim to be an expert in this department for sure.

Jedidentist: did u put a str380 or str381 in there? Mine has a 381, manual calls for 380... and my B+ is high

Thanks

I don't remember honestly. I do know that whatever I ordered, I would've ordered exactly what it called for. I also just finally ended up shipping it to Chad and had him mess with it.
