I have been listening to the Retro Gaming Roundup podcasts and loving them and they did a top ten gaming hotties list a few months ago. It got me thinking about the earliest "sexed up" video game characters, meaning not just being a female (for example Samus Aran) but actually being a sexy graphic avatar onscreen.
I believe Ms Pac-man was the first female video game characfter you play as (am I wrong?) but, no disrespect to her ravashing roundness, I wouldn't describe her as sexy. I seems like the late 80's are when video game characters actually started to look kinda hot, am I right?
The female character in Golden Axe comes to mind as the first lady in a sexy outfit. Maybe Valkyrie from Gauntlet but only in the title page, in the game she's just a bobble-headed avatar seen from above.
Or perhaps Storm from the X-Men coin op? Would she be the first?
Were there any other sexy looking female characters from that era of gaming? I am thinking before the 90's because definitely that's when the graphics got good enough to make female characters look alluring (so that disqualifies X-Men's Storm)
