I'm actually not sure if he is on KLOV or not, but I picked up a pretty good looking Joust
last night from a very nice local guy.

Originally I was buying it for $150 thinking it had no bezel and knowing it had no monitor.
When I got there he was very kind and had the original bezel (some flaking, but not bad)
he let me have that, and threw a nice looking G07 with Joust burn into the deal for an extra
$50 :)

Here's the cool stuff:
All of the internal wiring is all there
All of the PCBs are there and look very clean
All of the keys are there
All of the manuals are there
I was told the PCB has the ROMs for the Joust Pterodactyl Glitch
Cabinet is solid and sideart is niceeee (not perfect, but niceee)

Sounds like you got a great deal that's awesome, cabinet looks pretty solid

Sounds like a great deal from a nice seller. Joust is still one of the games I enjoy most after all these years. Great looking game, congrats!

Soooo jealous. Joust is a fantastic game...no matter what condition.

Looks like a very sound machine to work from.

Love my Joust!

Nice pic up.

So the seller removed the bezel and monitor and then was going to sell you the game, then gave you both pieces back for another $50?

Why didn't he just sell it as a complete game for more money?

Weird.

Good for you though!

The bezel was a part of the deal the whole time I just misunderstood him. As for the monitor he didn't know if he had the original or an extra, but we found one and he sold it to me :)

Cool. I offered the same price you got it for a couple days ago. I even mentioned I'd give him another $50 if he happened to still have a non-working monitor to go with it.

He was firm at his asking price at that time. I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed and jealous to see you got it for the same price. I've been wanting a Joust. I'm happy for you though. Timing is everything, I guess.

Nice grab. I'm moving, so we're in the "don't buy ANYTHING" stage. Too much here as it is.

Time to put that bad boy back together and rock out. And curse the damned Pterodactyl afterward. :)

yep

I checked out the kick plate and while it sort of looked like water damage, I'm not 100% sure it is because when I lifted it up it didn't really look like swelling to me...I'll clean it up and call it good :)

and it sucks you back in Brad....:D

nice find!!
