Atari Lemans, cab in in nice shape, game boots up, but wont coin up. I dont have the time, space or interest in ever working on this machine. I had it offered up for a case of beer (american beer at that) and had no takers. Unfortunately the time is insanely close for it to reach its ultimate fate (in pieces in my garbage, with parts on greedbay). I hate to do it, but all of the people on this site that cry about parting games, none have stepped to the plate to save this classic.

Please someone come save it!!!

Wow, no local takers? That's just sick! I hate to see it get destroyed but man you can't even get a case of beer for it? I say drink a case while swinging a sledge hammer at it and post the pictures here.

Hell, contact Gary Vincent at Funspot and see if he'll take it as a donation. I think you might even get a tax writeoff that way!

This game is BEAUTIFUL for its age. I've seen it in "real life", and can attest to it being a real shame to trash. Hopefully one of the guys above follows through on the grab.

you should try craigs list in the free section. arcade games last less then 10 minutes doing that.

i'd rather part it myself instead of giving it to the scavengers to do.

You're assuming they'll part it out. Maybe they'll fix it instead.

If you part it out yourself, there's 0% chance it's not parted, right?

Then how did you end up with it ?

...would be my next question.

You do a bulk buy to get a few games you want, get stuck with a bunch of the crappers too.

This is true.

So, I guess my issue is the OP's trying to spin his picking up a game he doesn't want in a bulk deal into criticizing "people on this site that cry about parting games"...

My take is that the OP tried and tried to give the game away for free to anyone who wanted to fix it up but there were no takers so he gave fair warning that he planned to part the game if nobody steps up. Which seems pretty reasonable to me.

I think he's right. If he gives it away on CL it will end up either totally lost in a landfill or converted to some monstrocity.

i tried to give this away free for a month, no takers. I would part it before putting it on c-list. Why not make the $$ myself, instead of giving it to those scavengers. After all, i did PAY FOR THE GAME, do the labor of picking it up and transporting it. What i try to do as a good gesture get questioned by a couple trolls? Why dont you give away stuff for free (that you paid for) to save games? If it means that much to you, just give the post a bump, or help find a taker.....no need for the 2 of you to be assholes.

BTW, the machine is spoken for.
