Your right its worth more then a DK,DK's are common and a whole lot easier to find. This R-TYPE is HUO and in mint condition with an extra R-Type 2 boardset.I can break the price down for DK parts if you like. I could easily convert this to DK but I never would because its a great dedicated rendition of R-Type. I would rather sell/trade it as a whole and just get a DK. I am talking to a guy now who has a DK and DK jr who might trade me his DK if not thats cool though too.
Now did you have anything positive to add :)

I don'nt quite understand it . You keep wanting a DK Don'nt you have one allready? I know you had one before me . I really don'nt think at HUO that machine comes even close too an 800.00 DK .

I would say thats around 350 range R-TYPE is not a Classic game. Most people would'nt even know that game. There has'nt been an R-TYPE Game since 1991. That game Failed thats why it's soooo RARE . RARE does'nt make it worth more.

Hmmm O.k. I do not know of any R-Type games since the Super Nintendo one from 1991.

R-TYPE in the Arcades Did'nt seem right felt like a Console game in a Box.

I would say alot more shooters where better then R-TYPE. 1942 Series, Areo Fighters, Darius series many others.

I know Snohomish, it's barely big enough for 2 collectors. Certainly not big enough for 2 who can't get along. Now give him your DK or DKjr for his RType and play nice.

R-Type - Dedicated upright game $150-$250. Collector/ebay price. As for Dave I don'nt have a problem with him. It does'nt matter that we both live in the same town. I have only talked with Dave a few times on here. I did'nt know him intell i moved here too Snohomish .

I was just saying DK No way in Hell it's in the same price range of a DK . For some reason Dave is allways looking for a DK Machine. But how many has he had and gotten rid of?

I got a DK and its got going anywhere. Actly I have all 3 of them now and they are'nt going anywhere. Thankyou for the person that posted the Price Guide link. But GL Dave I'm sure someone is going too pay 800 for that.
Someone else can quote the price guide, I wont rain on anyone's parade...

Price guides are just that guides. A game is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Games seem to go for more or less depending on location as well. If you don't have a DK you are willing to trade or want to buy his r-type why bother remarking about it.

LOL Not for 800! Everyone has a right too post where ever they want too. It's called feedoom of Speach.

My post in here was a quick and easy post. It was just a post about his Price on the R-TYPE. Like i Said GL Dave getting 800.00 for that or getting 800.00 in trade for that matter.

HUO Is way over rated A game that was HUO and could have been beat too Shit! But hey it's HUO!

First this is very very hard to read:eek: Please hit spell check and proof read.

Second whats up with the price police bro?? Dave has a right to list his machines for whatever he wants. What does it matter if he has 20 Donkey Kongs not your business, I have 5:eek: I dont think this has anything to do with the R-type, I noticed you got upset with Dave about another game he had for sale a few weeks ago. Let it go bro!! :(

For the record, there is no such thing as Home Use Only. It's a fable, a fallacy, a lie made up to make owners of relatively mint pieces feel more like they have stacks of gold bars. Just because one Op in 1984 bought his kids a single machine he never routed and put in his basement, does not make it common, likely, or even probable in 99.999% of cases. Unless you have original receipts showing delivery to a residential address, and that seller and address is the actual place you're buying from - NEVER, ever, EVER believe that lie. So sick of people believing, construing, and continuing these tales.

That said, any machine produced after 1995 becomes the tiniest bit likely to actually be HUO. (Yet still averaging under a single percentage point)

Back to the topic at hand, a mint/near mint R-Type is a decent trade for a DK - ON THIS FORUM. Simply because we all have DK and R-Type is coming into it's collectible high tide. Outside of this community, and in the rest of the real world - it is not desirable, valuable, or as recognizable as Kong.

Yes, Kong is a desirable cab, in the UK it would command around £1,000 for a very nice example.

However, here in the UK R-Type is considered a classic and one of the greatest shooters ever. The game is absolute genius and for the time the graphics were nothing short of stunning. Even today the graphics look superb. I have never seen a dedicated R-Type here in the UK, however an original PCB if you can find one could cost £200 - £250.

A dedicated R-Type in the UK could easily be traded for a DK in my opinion.

Wow I never thought this thread would get this kind of attention.Thankyou Timber and all the others for supporting my sale/trade.

First an update: Track and field is sold Assault has a deal pending, ohhhh and I have two trade deals on the table for DK but havnt hammered out which one to go with.

Ok Simpson99 I see you still have nothing positive to say.To answer your question about my MANY DK's I have had 3. I had one I kept as my own for many years and traaded it for my cut EDOT that is why I am looking for another,I had another that I sold to a collector and I located another for a friend who wanted one and thats it.

As for R-TYPE maybe its worth a DK maybe its not I try to offer a trade on all the games that I sell as an option to cash and I think trades are more fun anyway. As long as both sides are happy after a trade thats all that matters.

Simpson99 you seem to allways have a negative feeling towards me sometimes when I part with games and make negative comments towards others as well.I remember a deal when you made another collector take back a game that quit on you after you got it. I would never do that to someone. As a collector I know these things are over 20 years old and never meant to last this long, and the warantee goes to the end of the drivway, and its on me to fix a game weather I just bought it or not. But did I comment about that when it happened not to long ago,NO. I commend the collector who did that because I would not have,he even delivered the game to your house...Anyway I hope this thread educated you on arcade history....Have a great day Simpson99 and be positive :)

If you do a trade with someone and something happens too the game . There should be a trade back and which in this case happened. Even though i did'nt want it too happen there was no choice.

You think it's right you do a trade ?? The first time you turn on the game too play it and the monitor goes out. Like he said this is'nt fair.
It's just bad luck that it happened.
