Hey gang. I have a list of games below that I am thinking of putting a large offer on. I need your advice on prices as I don't know what the value per game is.

I know value depends on condition, dedicated cab etc.
What I am looking for is an average (fair) price for both WORKING and NONWORKING. Just copy the list and post it with prices WORKING and NONWORKING. If you don't know the value, it's cool, just what you do know. (I know, it's long!)
If there was a book of Arcade game values, I would buy it.

All machines are dedicated and NOT to be parted out (so all you purists can breath easy).

Sea Wolf
Sea Wolf 2
Spy Hunter 2
Timber
Gorf
Tapper (bud)
Dragon's Lair 2 w/ new laser disk player (working)
Mortal Kombat 4 (working)
Gyruss
Bosconian
Golden Axe II: The revenge of death adder
Killer Instinct
Space Gun
Pole Position (upright)
Pole Position (cockpit)
NOS - Indiana Jones kit (never opened)
Mario Bros. widebody
T2
Space Invaders
Battlezone
Atari Goal IV (cocktail)
Asteroids (cabaret)
Tron
Crystal Castles

A per game pricelist is going to rocket the value way past what a big 20 game deal will really end up going down for. You should really be buying below market values when buying that many games, particularly since some of those are games that are pretty hard to move by themselves, and some of them don't really have going rates.

It looks like about $4000 - $5000 for the lot to me with a bunch of the value being in the Dragon's Lair 2.

Yeah, I know the value will be less as a bulk. I need individual prices though. Thanks KidVidiot for the info! Anyone else?

unfortunately without knowing condition there's way too many variables involved.

i mean, Timber can go for quite a bit if it's in nice shape and you find the right buyer (800-1000,) but if it's a water-logged POS that doesn't work then it may only be worth a couple of hundred in parts.

Tapper also varies according to whether it's a Bud or Root Beer.

and values will vary with the area of the country that you're in. some of those titles will go for 25-50% more up here in the Seattle area than they will in say, California or Texas.

None are water logged, and all are in good condition. Again, just an average value for a good condition game, working and nonworking.

These are just my opinion Rick, you know there's a lot of variables.

Sea Wolf - NW(125) Working(400-600)
Sea Wolf II - NW(125) Working(400-700)
Gorf - NW(125) Working(300-500)
Tapper - Bud? Root Beer? - NW(150) Working(450-750)
Gyruss - NW(125) Working(350-500)
Bosconian - NW(75-100) Working(200-300)
PP upright - NW(75) Working(200-250)
PP cockpit - NW(125) Working(300-500)
Space Inv - NW(100) Working(200-350)
Battlezone - NW(125) Working(300-500)
Asteroids Cabaret -NW(200) Working(400-650)

Now, these are what I personally would probably pay. You have overall condition, and so MANY other factors involved here Rick. Notice I only gave you my opinion on some of the games. Some of the others you have listed I'm not familiar with.

Here's another thing, some guys wouldn't pay $250 for a working Sea Wolf, because its not on their "list". Others would pay $1000 for a restored one. Big difference. I've been offered $750 for mine, which is partially restored, and its not in that great of shape overall. If these games are sitting in a warehouse and full of dust, the price drops, even for a working example. If things are cleaned up you'll always get a better price. Try to sell a dirty car, nobody will look. Wax up the piece of shit, and it sells.

The only person that really knows what they are worth is you. The biggest question of all is, are you buying them to keep or to flip, and how many are keepers and how many are to be re-sold.

Awesome John. Thank you.

Yes, I know it is hard to give a value on something you have never seen or know the condition of. There are a LOT of variables.
I'm just trying to get a good feel for what these games pull in normally.
For instance, I know a Punch Out is typically around $500, a Ms. Pac around $400, Commando $100 etc. People will pay $800 for a Punch Out, others wouldn't. The bottom line, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I just want a ballpark figure for what these games in good condition normally go for.

If you get these games, give me first dibs on the Sea Wolf II if you're not keeping it for yourself....

Will do bud. Right now is more of a gather information period. And yes, Sea Wolf II would look great in your basement... but I am not helping you take it down those stairs of yours ;-)

Sea Wolf

Spy Hunter 2 Working or not they should pay you to haul this away...I'm not joking.
Timber Non working 300-400 working 800-1000
Gorf nonworking 100-150 working 250 - 350
Tapper assuming bud tapper 300 - 444 non working 800- 1000 working
Dragon's Lair 2 w/ new laser disk player (working) 500-800 depending on condition
Mortal Kombat 4 (working) 200-400 but I don't like the game so I may be off. Personally I'd pay 100 tops
Gyruss non working 100-150 working 200-300
Bosconian nonworking 100 working 200-300
Golden Axe II: The revenge of death adder nonworking 100 working 200-300
Killer Instinct 100-150 working or not
Space Gun 100 working or not ..possibly less
Pole Position (upright) nonworking 50-80 working 150-200
Pole Position (cockpit) nonworking free-50 working 200-300
NOS - Indiana Jones kit (never opened) 400-500
Mario Bros. widebody nonworking 150 working 250-350
T2 nonworking 100 working 100-250
Space Invaders nonworking 100 working 200-250
Battlezone nonworking 100-150 working 200-300
Atari Goal IV (cocktail)
Asteroids (cabaret) nonworking 80-100 working 150-250
Tron nonworking 300ish working 400-800
Crystal Castles nonworking 100-150 working 200-350

Here's how I would approach a bulk buy like this...I assume it's from an OP or the OPs estate....

Always talk bulk, never by the piece. So roughly 24 games x $50 each give me $1200. Subtract $200 (because I'm a cheapskate) and I arrive at my opening bid of $1000. Before we talk money, I spend some time with the guy. Ask about his kids, his hobbies, whatever. Also be honest. Tell him you are keeping a few and flipping the rest to pay for the ones you keep. Make him feel your passion for arcade games. After an hour or so of small talk then throw out the number.

He shoots back in one of two ways:
1) He says something like "I paid 2 grand a piece for these and they still make money" or "I checked on eBay and ______". Either way I say thanks, turn around, walk away and go get a Jucy Lucy.
2) He says "oooh, that's less than I was thinking", throws out a reasonable counter offer, and off we go. I end up with a bunch of games fairly cheap.

Well, I think that Battlezone is underpriced. I don't know why when a working boardset alone sells for $325. A working vector B&W monitor is $125 all day. Personally, I wouldn't sell a BZ in "good" working condition for less than $600. Non-working complete $200.
